Google's parent company, Alphabet, has announced the layoff of 12,000 employees, the company's chief executive officer (CEO) Sundar Pichai. He also said that an e-mail has been sent to those who are being retrenched.
He then wrote an emotional letter to these workers. In that letter, Pichai thanked the employees who worked hard for the development of the organization. Expressed grief to them.

We are forced to say goodbye to some incredibly talented colleagues. Many of them have worked hard for the development of the organization. I express my deepest condolences to them. Thanks to them for their hard work. This decision of retrenchment will affect the lives of Googlers, Pichai wrote in the letter.
Sundar Pichai also wrote, Our organization has achieved dramatic growth in the last two years. We hired a number of people to match and drive that growth. But the current economic reality is quite different than that time.
Sundar Pichai believes Google and Alphabet have a brighter future ahead of them due to the precision of the end goal, value of products and services, and early investment in artificial intelligence (AI). Pichai also wrote in the letter, "We have to make difficult decisions for a brighter future than now."
Sundar Pichai wrote, I am confident about the huge opportunities that lie ahead of us. For this, the purpose with which we continue to work, the capability, the quality we have been able to create in our products and services, and our decision to invest early in artificial intelligence are commendable.
