An expatriate Bangladeshi has won a lottery worth 3.5 million dirhams (Tk 98.17 million) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He won the first raffle draw of the Big Ticket lottery on the occasion of the Christian New Year. This information is known from the report of Khaleej Times.

Mohammad Raiful is a resident of Al Ain area of Abu Dhabi. He works as a pickup driver in a company there. He has been buying lottery tickets for 9 years. Raiful bought the ticket he won online on December 10 last year. Its number is 043678. 20 friends shared the money to buy the lottery. Now all friends will share the prize money together.
Raffle draw organizers were initially unable to contact 39-year-old Raiful. He could not be reached despite several calls. He was driving at that time. At last they were able to tell him the news of winning the award.
Raiful said, 'I have been in the United Arab Emirates for 12 years. I couldn't believe that I won. Feeling very excited and happy.'
Khaleej Times asked Raiful what he would do with the prize money. In response, Raiful said that he could not have imagined that he would win the award. For this reason, no plans have been made for this.
