Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov highly praised the joint military exercises between Moscow and Beijing. He described the exercise as a step to strengthen the strategic partnership between Russia and China. Lavrov made the comments to reporters in Moscow on Wednesday.
Although strengthening military, diplomatic and commercial relations with Russia, Beijing is also somewhat cautious in this regard. Russian President Vladimir Putin has also publicly acknowledged the issue. In this context, Putin said that Chinese President Xi Jinping is concerned about Russia's 'military action' in Ukraine.

After the start of the Ukraine war, China and Russia have stepped up military exercises with each other, forgetting their decades-old relationship of mistrust. A few days before the war, the two countries signed an agreement on 'unlimited partnership'. Meanwhile, China has also strengthened trade relations with Russia 'at home' due to Western sanctions.
