Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that his party has no relationship with Pakistan's new army chief General Syed Asim Munir at present. Imran Khan alleged that former Army Chief General (retired) Qamar Javed Bajwa was helping the government in running the country.
The PTI chief claimed that the current government led by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif came to power through extensive bargaining and compromise. The leaders of the coalition government have placed themselves above the law. The corruption cases filed against them a few years back have been dismissed. Imran said that after coming to power, the present government has dismissed corruption cases worth Rs 1 lakh 10 thousand crores.
Shehbaz Sharif, Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari and Maryam Nawaz—all of them have been acquitted.
Blaming the current government for Pakistan's economic crisis, Imran said the economic situation of his country was never like this before. He thinks that objective and transparent elections are the only solution to these problems. Explaining the reasons for the ongoing economic crisis, Imran said that no investor or businessman trusts the current government. Even foreign investors do not trust them.
Imran said his party has 'dedicated' two provincial assemblies - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab - for objective and transparent elections. The PTI chief also hinted that the government will be forced to hold general elections in April this year.
