Some pictures have been published on social media. They show that missile defense systems have been deployed on the roofs of various buildings in the Russian capital, Moscow. It raises the question of whether the Kremlin is preparing to prevent a possible attack on Russia? But the Kremlin is still silent about these pictures.

Pictures posted on social media showed the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile system on the roof of a building in central Moscow, approximately two kilometers from the Kremlin. Apart from this, a Pantshi missile defense system was seen on the roof of the Russian Ministry of Defense building.

According to AFP reports, what appeared to be an anti-aircraft missile system was seen at the main building of the ministries in Moscow on Friday.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was asked on Friday whether Moscow could be attacked. However, he asked the Ministry of Defense to ask this question.

Peskov said, 'Usually they (Ministry of Defense) are responsible for ensuring the security of the country, especially the capital Moscow. As a result, the Ministry of Defense will be able to say better about the steps that have been taken. However, AFP did not get an immediate response even though the Ministry of Defense was contacted.

The Pantsir-S1 air defense system can repel attacks from fighter jets and various weapons, including ballistic and cruise missiles. According to independent Russian media reports, a Pantshi air defense system has been deployed 10 kilometers from President Vladimir Putin's residence on the outskirts of Moscow.

Anton Gerashenko, an adviser to Ukraine's interior minister, posted a video footage on social media. There he wrote, 'What is happening, I am surprised.' The video shows an anti-aircraft missile defense system deployed around Putin's residence.

Earlier last week, a report said several S-400 air defense systems were seen deployed at a park in Lozhny Ostrov, north of Moscow, and an agricultural institute in the capital. The S-400 surface-to-air missile is the most advanced air defense system in Russia and around the world.

Security analyst Michael Horowitz has expressed his observations on Twitter. There he said, 'Russia is concerned about the possible attack of Ukraine on Moscow. Kremlin leaders want to play down the potential threat of an attack on Ukraine or worry about the risk of a possible coup.'
